Made in 5 days for the UoM Game Jam 2026- Theme: Side Effects

Fend off endless waves of blue and red robotic enemies as just a simple square, where each side has its own effect, including the fact that red/blue sides can only interact with red/blue enemies/bullets respectively. However, to help combat this, our little square has the nifty ability to switch the colour of the enemies upon 90-degree rotation, meaning even switching sides has an effect. And if that wasn't enough, experimental green orbs spawn when you need them the most, but experimental means they could have unforeseen side effects.

Web version is also playable here (but missing the player explosion on death).

CONTROLS:

WASD - Up, Down, Left, Right

LeftArrow or Q - Rotate left 90 degrees

RightArrow or E - Rotate right 90 degrees

Shift - Boost (if you have a booster(s) equipped)

Space (Hold or Tap) - Shoot (if you have a gun(s) equipped)

Esc

 - Pause (current bug where, for some runs, it does not display the pause menu)
